Nachia's story

Nachia has been a bites (maandazi and bread) seller in the Mikunguni neighborhood of Zanzibar for 10 years. She belongs to Uvivu si kazi group loan (Group code 2005). She currently earns an average monthly profit of approximately US$ 90. Every day she works at her business for 6 hours.

She is requesting her third loan from BRAC Tanzania so that she can buy more wheat flour, sugar and cooking oil for her business. She is hoping that through this loan, her profit will increase and she will be able to grow her business and save money for future use.

Nachia is 36 years old, married, and has seven children, aged betwee 18 and 3. She also cares for one other dependent.
