Kwame is fifty year old man, married and the father of four children. He trades in cassava, plantain, maize, millet, palm oil, and yam. Kwame is convinced that his business can grow with increased working capital. He is requesting loan to buy baskets of tomatoes, groundnuts, bags of maize, and tubers of yam to increase his stock. He hopes to improve his income so he can finance the education of his children.
Kwame belongs to the community group called Sure Trust Group. In this group, members guarantee for one another to act as social collateral to access a loan, and provide encouragement to repay it.
