A loan helped a member purchase milk and sugar.

Las Perlas De Villa Adela Group's story

The communal bank group “Las Perlas de Villa Adela” will begin their first loan cycle with Pro Mujer. Their group is made up of 10 members and is headed by an executive council lead by Mrs. Beatriz, the President.

This loan will benefit their small businesses, including that of Mrs. Beatriz. She currently runs a business where she sells juice. She learned the ins and outs of the business from her aunt more than twelve years ago.

The loan will be used to purchase milk and sugar which she will buy on wholesale from vendors in the city of La Paz. Afterwards, she will use her supplies to make and sell her product from her stand. This form of work allows her to generate the resources necessary to support her family economically. She is married and has five children.

Note: Don Johnny had to leave for work and so his wife remained as his representative at the meeting. This is why there are ten women in the photo.

In this group: Beatriz , Marleny, Patricia , Jhonny Abelardo, Carmela , Geovana, Victoria , Dalia Ingrid, Maria, Justina
