A loan of $1,075 helped to buy charcoal and some yams.

Mériga's story

This is a lady who earns an income from commerce in charcoal. She has included along with it the sale of tubers. She started this business in 1974, which means she has a command of this commerce. She stocks up in northern Togo, in the city of Badou to be precise. A portion of her inventory is exhausted. Wanting to replenish it, she's requesting her first loan from WAGES to buy fifteen sacks of charcoal and ten tubs of yams.
