Najma baji wants a loan to buy material (lentils, cooking oil and spices) for her food-selling business. Rani baji wants a loan to buy wood for her furniture-making business. Hina baji and Nusrat baji each want a loan to buy clothes for their clothes-selling businesses.

Tasleem baji is the wife of M. A. and they live in a historical part of the city of Lahore named Yadgar, Pakistan. She is the group leader of above mentioned ladies. Her husband runs a clothes-selling business. He buys clothes from the famous markets of Lahore (Ichara and Anarkali) and resells to clothes shops to earn income. Tasleem baji is applying for a loan to buy clothes to increase the profits of her husband's business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
