A loan helped to pay for farmland plowing in order to get ready for the next rice-farming season.

Savet's story

Savet is a mother who is blessed with two dependent children. They are still in school. She is 44 years old.

She earns a living through rice farming at Srey Snom district of Siem Reap Province. She has been engaged with rice farming for around five years. Sometimes, she works as a paid worker to earn additional income. These businesses earn her about 7.50 USD per day, and she is able to save up to 5 USD each day for future needs.

The main challenges for her rice plantation are lack of water and insect problems. Savet decided to apply for her first loan with VisionFund to pay for farmland plowing in order to get ready for the next rice-farming season.

In the future, she hopes that her rice crop will grow well and fruitfully so she can earn more income to keep her children in school.
