A loan of $425 helped to buy supplies and fertilizers to apply to his crops.

Miguel Etanislado's story

Miguel Álvarez Velásquez, 54, lives in the San Ignacio neighborhood in the Ticuantepe community. He lives with his wife who works as a shopkeeper and helps with the household expenses. They have three children who are now married, and they help them a little with expenses. The family plans are to improve living conditions and to give their children a place to build.

For thirty years he has been a farmer. The biggest difficulty he encounters is the lack of financing. He started his business with support from his parents. Miguel’s dream is to be able to improve the condition of his land.

With the loan he will buy fertilizers and supplies to apply to his crops in order to be able to have a better production.
