Dios Con Nosotros. Group's story

The Dios Con Nosotros communal bank is made up of eight women and two men, mothers and fathers responsible for fifteen children, all minors. These people are hard-working and responsible and good with their repayments as they have demonstrated with time through their previous loans. Unfortunately they couldn't study. Currently their priorities are to get ahead with their businesses and their families, providing them with the economic well-being and stability that they need.

The coordinator of the communal bank is Yessenia and her business is a grocery store, a small shop where she sells food goods in small quantities like rice, beans, sugar, milk, bread, eggs, juice, cookies, cheese, cream, etc. The objective of the loan is to invest in working capital and stock her business so that in the not so distant future she can obtain greater income. She works in her business 12 hours per day selling her products. Her business is located in her house and she enjoys doing this work as it is her main and only source of income.

The Dios Con Nosotros communal bank is grateful for the support that the investors at Kiva provide to people of low resources and poor countries like Nicaragua to have a dignified means of work.
