A loan of $1,000 helped invest in inventory to stock her grocery store.

Rosa Aurora's story

Señora Rosa Aurora, a customer of the Community Bank “El Abiseo”, lives in Jr. Nicolás de Pierola cdra. 05 –,in the Juanjui district of San Martín. She is single, 66 years old, and has 9 children, three of whom still depend on her.

Faced with the necessity to provide an income for her home, the self motivated Rosa started a small business selling groceries with her first loan of S/. 300.00. She was successful from the start due to the quality of her products, her reasonable prices and fine customer service.

Currently, she operates the business out of her home, with a site in good condition, where her main customers are the people in her neighborhood.

With this loan of S/. 3,000.00, Rosa will purchase more inventory to stock her business, such as rice and sugar by the kilo, eggs in bulk, personal hygiene and cleaning products, soft drinks by the case, sweets and other products to please her customers.

Rosa is very happy with the work she has and thanks Manuela Ramos, for helping people like her who want to work and get ahead. She hopes Manuela continues her work for a long time and helps many families and women entrepreneurs.
