Nga'raria Golden Self Help Group's story

The gentleman raising his hand in the photo is John. He is thirty three years old and a father of two children. He is a member of Nga'raria Golden Self Help Group which joined Hand in Hand Eastern Africa in 2014 to benefit from enterprise development and financial management training.

He does dairy farming. He is borrowing a Kiva loan to buy a calf. He hopes this will increase his milk production hence increasing his income. He will therefore use the anticipated income to provide food for his family.

He is grateful to Kiva and their lenders for the support and promises to repay promptly.
