Pa Khoang 5 Group's story

Mrs. Nuoi, 21, is a Thai ethnic lady who has been married and become the mother of a 4-year-old daughter. Nuoi lives with her in-laws, her husband and her kid in an old Thai ethnic traditional stilt house at a small poor remote village. Nuoi's family has been recognized as a near-poor household by the government. The family mainly relies on agricultural production to earn a living with plenty of activities such as growing rice, cassava, edible canna, corn, raising pigs, chicken, buffalo, goats, and fish.

Nuoi is a very hard-working farmer and she has taken great effort to increase production and improve income for her family. Recently, she has taken a loan from the Anh Chi Em program to buy baby fish and develop fish farming. She hopes that the fish will grow fast and healthily then bring good profit to her family. Mrs. Nuoi dreams that her family will soon escape from poverty and have a more sufficient life, and her child will have a bright future. In the picture, she stands at the first from the right.
