A loan of $500 helped buy chili, vinegar, salt, pepper, cumin.

Dora Irma's story

Dora is a member of the Palomas de Oro community bank in the Puno district, Puno province, Puno department. She is 56, married, and has six children. She lives in the Progreso neighborhood. She has an elementary school education.

She has worked with the Movimiento Manuela Ramos for one and a half years. Dora sells condiments. Her first loan was for 300 PEN.

With this loan for 1,500 PEN, she will buy more condiments (chili, vinegar, salt, pepper, cumin) to increase what she has and stock her business. Then she will sell them from her commercial location. She would like to expand her business and set up a large, well stocked store.

Dora likes the community bank meetings and the trainings that Manuela Ramos offers.
