Sayuni Group's story

Meet Frank, a thirty-nine-year-old carpenter from Bagamoyo district of Dar-es-salaam. He's a hard working member of "Sayuni" loan group which consists of five new members. He is married with three school-going children and has been involved in carpentry activities since 2009. He runs a carpentry workshop that operates from 6 am to 8 pm daily and is happy that he's making some sustaining profit.

This will be "Sayuni" Group's first group loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. Frank is applying for this loan to buy supportive working materials used for making home furniture, wardrobes and storage chests. By adding such materials, Frank will be ready to accommodate orders from various customers and his profit will increase. He dreams of growing into a furniture making center someday.

He will share this loan with his fellow group members and they will be responsible for paying back the loan in full at maturity.
