Rosa Elena's story

Rosa Elena is a member of the Abiseo community bank. She lives at Jr. Soplin Vargas Nº 260, Juanjui district, Mariscal Cáceres province, Martín department. She is 42, married, and she has two dependent children who go to school.

Rosita, as she is affectionately called, started with her first loan for 400 PEN and her husband’s help. They decided to start a business of selling replacement parts. They also fix motorcycles. Sales are going very well. They did not make a mistake in choosing to sell replacement parts, which goes very well with selling drinking water.

They are still in the same business, which is located in a specially converted space in her home. Her primary customers are her friends, motorcycle drivers, and neighbors.

With this loan for 2,000 PEN, she will buy more motorcycle replacement parts, oils, lubricants, and supplies that will allow her to tend to her customers with quality and efficiency.

She and her husband make the decisions about purchases and earnings in her business. She feels very confident about offering her products. She is considered to be a fighter who is steadfast and responsible with her payments.

She is thankful to Manuela Ramos for allowing her to grow as a businesswoman and a woman.
