Magdalena's story

Magdalena belongs to the Banco Comunal “Las Flores II" in Jaillihuaya, located in the Chuchito district in the Puno Province in the Puno Region. She is 29 years old, has two children and lives with her partner. She completed her advanced studies in nursing at a technical school.

Magdalena has been working with the Manuela Ramos organization for four years. She started her business selling regional cereals with a loan of S/. 300.00 nuevos soles. At present, she is requesting a loan of S/. 800.00 Nuevos soles to invest in the purchase of additional regional cereals, which she sells at the markets every Sunday. She will also use the money to raise poultry to sell at the Puno markets.

Her biggest dream is to continue working and start a store, or even an infirmary, so that she can use her professional training. Magdalena enjoys both the savings trainings and the sports matches that Manuela Ramos organizes.
