A loan of $275 helped to purchase different colored wool and stuffing.

Josefa's story

Josefa is a member of the "Las Flores II" Communal Bank located in Jaillihuaya in the Chuchito district in Puno. She is 42 years old and married with 2 children. She has completed her secondary school studies. She lives in the Garden City Development.

She has worked with the Manuela Ramos Movement for 2 years and started her business selling handicrafts. With the initial loan of 300 soles, she purchased wool.

Currently she is seeking a loan of 600 soles to invest in the purchase of wools of different colors to create her handicrafts, as well as to purchase stuffing. Her dream is to form a microbusiness for handicraft sales.

She enjoys the meetings at her Communal bank--the chats, the punctuality, and the form of payment.
