A loan of $575 helped craftwork (purchase of raw material).

Santa Rosa's story

Fifty-five years old, Mrs. Santa C. is married and a seamstress, a "maker of aprons." She has a workshop with three machines and lives with her husband and their four children. She, her children, and two employees work together.
She has produced aprons in her residence for eighteen years. Her home is in the Paraje Xeatzam del Cantón Nimapa, Totonicapán department, Guatemala.
The demand for her aprons has grown, but current economic conditions do not allow an increase of capital; therefore she has turned to the Asociación ASDIR and applied for a loan, with which she will purchase raw material. She will then be able to increase sales, hoping also to enable her children to advance and have a higher standard of living.
