Yanacocha Group's story

Our members of the “Yanacocha” communal bank are neighbors of the Surquillos zone, situated in the district of Calca, in the province of Cusco, located 1 hour and 30 minutes away from the city of Cusco.

The members carry out different activities, with agriculture and cattle being their main activities during the planting seasons; during the rest of the year they alternate their agricultural activities with different businesses, which are: raising poultry, purchasing and selling seed, vegetables, and fruit, grocery stores, and mechanic and repair shops. The members are questing a loan to increase their products, which will increase their productivity.

They are extremely thankful for the support that they have obtained and reaffirm their wish to work hard to be able to achieve their goals; they also commit to making their loan payments in full in the time granted.
