Victoria's story

Victoria is a member of the "Rio Desaguadero" community bank of the district of Desaguadero in the province of Chucuito, department of Puno. She is married common-law, is 31 years old and has two children. She graduated from high school.

She has been working with Movimiento Manuela Ramos for half a year. She started her business with a 500 soles loan which she invested in the sale of "salchipapas" (street food), selling groceries retail and large-scale sales of drinks (beer) which according to Victoria is her most important source of income.

Currently, she wants to maintain her drink-selling business (soft drinks, mineral water) for which she needs a loan of 800 soles in order to sell at the market and at social events in order to generate more income and help her family's finances and pay her loan instalments on schedule. Also, she is grateful to the institution for its support of women.
