A loan of $600 helped to buy basic medicines for her pharmcy.

Teresa's story

Teresa belongs to the "Las Margaritas II" Village Bank. She lives in the Banda de Shilcayo District of the San Martín Province in the Department of San Martín. She is married and has two dependent children.

Teresa remains, at her age, a hard-working and efficient woman. She is a former elementary school teacher with a strong desire to have her own income. Since she is knowledgeable about nursing she decided to start her own mini-pharmacy, where she sells basic medicines, takes blood pressures, and gives injections. Nowadays she's continuing with her service and tells us that it is going very well, since she has the only pharmacy in the neighborhood.

Teresa wants to use her loan of 1,800 soles to buy medicines, including aspirin, Doloflan, Dolocordralan, cold medicines like Vicks Vapor Rub, menthol, and other basic medicines. She is a woman at peace who is content with what she's achieved, and she wants to assure herself of a peaceful old age, so she is very grateful to Manuela Ramos for helping her fulfill her dreams and goals, and those of other women who wish to grow as entrepreneurs.
