A loan of $700 helped to buy rice, sugar, noodles, and cereal.

Rosa Maritza's story

Rosa is a member of the Virgen de Cocharcas community bank. Rosa, 36, is in a common law marriage and has four children. Rosa has a store in the Acosvinchos district where she sells groceries. Her cousin runs the business. Rosa also has a grocery store in her house in the city of Ayacucho. She also offers photocopy services in the store. On Saturdays and Sundays she travels to the Acosvinchos fair to buy cereal. Rosa needs a loan for 2,100 PEN to buy rice, sugar, noodles, and cereal. Rosa dreams of putting a roof on the third floor of her house, stocking her business with more products, and buying a car to rent to others.
