A loan of $2,900 helped a member working capital.

Gaia Group's story

The "Gaia" communal bank is maD. up of a group of members who have prior experience working in support groups and have complied responsibly and on time with previous loans in institutions similar to Fundación Agrocapital. The 12 members of the group have chosen Lotty as their representative. Lotty and most of the group sell products such as groceries in neighborhood stores, food, clothing and shoes and the rest of the group work at different activities such as making wood furniture, public transportation and cutting hair in beauty shops. There is a lot of competition in the marketplace and the members have to try doubly hard to earn money for their households. For this reason they need financing which will help them grow their small businesses so that with more merchandise and working tools in good condition they can generate more income, thus providing a better standard of living for their families.
