Edward's story

Edward M. is a married Tanzanian micro-businessman. He runs a business raising poultry in the Kitunda ward in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He has constructed four poultry cages where he keeps two egg-laying chickens and two broilers. He collects ten trays of eggs per day, which he sells wholesale by order. He manages to meet his family's daily needs including paying school fees and capitalization. He plans to expand his business by constructing more poultry cages and buying more chicks.
