A loan of $425 helped buy supplies and fertilizers to apply to her crops.

Margelia Del Rosario's story

Mrs. Margelia del Rosario S., 26, lives in the Piedra Quemada neighborhood, which is located on the road to Masaya. She lives with her husband who works to help her with the household expenses. They have two children who go to school.

The family plan is to improve their living conditions. She has worked as a farmer for fifteen years. Through her own efforts she has been able to maintain part of her crops. The biggest problem is lack of financing. Her plan for her crops is to diversify.

The loan is to buy fertilizer and supplies so that when she plants her crops no insects can damage them.
