Jesus's story

Chef Jose Luis has worked in different restaurants in Puebla, Mexico, and around the United States where he has trained and practiced cooking Mexican, Italian, American, Spanish, Portuguese and Mediterranean food for over 14 years. During his career he has specialized in cooking Portuguese, Spanish and, of course, Mexican dishes.

I am a traveler who loves cooking and eating. Through my travels I have seen and tasted the flavors of many different countries from Mexico to Western and Eastern Europe to the Middle East. I think that when somebody you meet invites you to their table, they really show you their culture through their kitchen and flavors.

Jose Luis and I share the dream to bring to Pittsburgh the real flavors from the Mexican Gourmet Kitchen (in other words, grandma recipes) with fair prices. This was the principal reason why we wanted to come together and open a window to the Mexican culture through the flavors of our kitchen. As Mexicans with lots of experience in the kitchen and traveling we enjoy delivering happiness to people through their palate, as well as sharing our culture to make people aware about the diversity that exists in this country and the world.
