Katie's story

I am a born and raised metro-Detroiter and Michigander and am proud to call this beautiful area my home. I am also a loyal Detroit sports fan and especially love my Wings, Tigers, Lions and Michigan Wolverines.
I attended Grand Valley State University where I studed Political Science and am certified in Holistic Nutrition through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
I am married to my partner in both life and business and together we have a 3.5 year old son, Jack.
Always a baker, I had to re-learn how to bake with allergy-free ingredients once I received my food intolerance diagnosis. That meant no gluten, dairy, soy or eggs! But I refused to let that stop me and gradually, I started to produce really good tasting treats! Once I finally decided to heed my friends' advice to start a baking business, I never looked back.
My ultimate wish for my business is that it sustains my family, supports my community and inspires other women to do the same.
