A loan of $675 helped to buy more merchandise.

Elvira's story

Elvira is 58-years-old and lives with her husband and one of her children, who is still single. She works and helps with the household expenses. She earns her living selling local fruits and candies at a stand she sets up every day in front of her house. She has been doing this for 8 years, and it has provided support and education for her children, who are very proud of her. She really likes her job because it makes her feel useful to society, and it's profitable because her daily sales generate strong income. In the future, Elvira would like to have a mini market. She's had 9 loans through MFP and she likes working with her group because it's fun and there is solidarity among the members. She plans to use her loan to buy more fruits and candies to sell.
