Margarette Younas Masih Group's story

My name is Margarette and I've been a citizen of Lahore, Pakistan for the past 15 years. Lahore is famous for its Punjabi foods and for its historical places. My husband's name is Y. M.. He works in a factory on a monthly wage. My husband’s income is insufficient to meet our expenses which allows me to operate my beauty salon. I have been running my salon for the past three years. I have a good number of customers. I am applying for a loan to buy supplies, such as cosmetics and a dryer machine, for my beauty salon.

I am the leader of a group of three other women from my locality. Nargis baji wants a loan to buy cosmetics to sell. Shazia baji wants a loan to buy clothes for her clothes-selling business. Shahnaz baji wants a loan to buy a buffalo for her milk-selling business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.

In this group: Margarette, Nargis, Shazia, Shahnaz
