A loan of $275 helped mirtha needs a loan of 800 PEN to buy ingredients such as sugar, milk, quinoa, and flour for preparing breakfasts..

Mirtha's story

Mirtha is a member of the Sol de Alegría comunal bank. Mirtha is married, 32 years old, and has a 4 year-old son in kindergarten.

Mirtha studied to be a secretary, but when she finished her studies she couldn’t work because her father fell ill and her plans changed. She eventually began selling orange juice, but this didn’t earn much. She thought something that would earn more and that she could offer to her customers was selling breakfast. She sells breakfasts in the market every day. In the evenings she is studying geriatric nursing.

Mirtha needs a loan of 800 PEN to buy ingredients such as sugar, milk, quinoa, and flour for preparing the breakfasts.

Since she has been with Finca, she has had the capital she needs to buy ingredients for her breakfasts. Mirtha’s dream is to finish her studies and have a stable business.
