Cecilia's story

Cecilia A. is thirty-seven years old. She is married and has three children, two sons and a daughter. According to her, all her children are currently in primary school. She lives with her children and husband in a rented apartment in a busy fishing/commercial town called Mankessim, near Cape Coast in the Central region of Ghana.

Cecilia works to support her husband financially to provide for the family. Her husband is a commercial driver while she is a trader. Cecilia trades in cereals such as maize, beans, etc. She procures the goods all the way from Ejura in the northern sector and sells at the local market to food vendors and retailers. She has been in business for over eight years and wants a loan to procure goods in bulk. She is hoping to give her children the best education she can afford.
