A loan helped to order products from local farmers to re-sell.

Ven's story

Mr. Ven P. is 43 years old and is married. His four teen-aged children are students at the local secondary school. Mr. P. currently makes his daily income by climbing palm trees to tap palm juice and turn it into palm sugar or palm wine to sell at the market. Beside this, he is a domestic trader who orders products in bulk from farmers and sells them to gain additional income. His wife (pictured) is a local rice farmer. Mr. P. has requested a loan from Kiva to be used as capital to buy products from local farmers to re-sell.
