Yaa's story

Yaa T. is 30 years old. She is a married woman with three children. At the moment, all her children are in school. She lives with her family at Oda in the eastern region of Ghana. For the past ten years, Yaa has devoted herself to baking bread and pastries in her home. She bakes and fries pastries like donuts, flour chips, and others things. Demand for the pastries has increased as a result of constant supply and 'just in time' delivery. Her customers book their orders in advance, and before they come, it's already ready. She sells what is left by herself through hawking in the market.

She says the price of the commodities is increasing which is making it difficult to buy more raw materials from the market. Yaa needs the loan to restock her inventory and buy more bags of flour, sugar, margarine, milk, and firewood etc. She said your assistance would be much welcome and helpful to her. Yaa belongs to the village bank called ‘Ahotefo’ which literary means Saints.
