A loan of $575 helped to buy bags of rice in bulk.

Comfort's story

Comfort A. is a 45-year-old married mother of four children – one son and three daughters. One of her children is learning a trade while the others are in senior high or junior high school. Comfort lives with her children and husband in a rented apartment in the farming/commercial town of Takorase, near Akim Oda, in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Her husband is a farmer, and she works to support him in providing for the family.

Comfort cooks and sells rice and stew in the local government school compound. She has been in business for over 20 years. She purchases bags of rice and other ingredients from nearby supermarkets, and she is requesting a loan to buy rice in bulk. She hopes to give her children the best education she can afford.
