A loan of $850 helped to buy a water pump to install in a well that is on the land where he cultivates, which he can use to water his plants.

Juan Agustin's story

Agustin is 40 years old. He was an orphan. His father abandoned him, and his mother died when he was two. He was raised by an aunt. He has a partner and two children, but one of his children emigrated to another country to search for better opportunities. Agustin’s spouse takes care of the home and looks after a mill, which all of the people in the community use to mill corn.

Agustin used to work as an employee on a cattle ranch near the community. He left that job, and now more than anything he makes a living as a mechanic, a chauffeur, a tractor driver, a carpenter, a welder, and even a hairdresser.

He needs this loan to buy a water pump to install in a well that is on the land where he cultivates, which he can use to water his plants.

Agustin dreams of eventually having a shop, which aside from metallic structures, will also have a section for carpentry. He also hopes the pump for the well is helpful for his crops.
