A loan of $275 helped increase amount of merchandise.

Narcisa's story

Narcisa is 42 years old and a very happy person. She lives in her family’s house with her three children Brayan 13, Ingrith 10 and Anghie 7. They are the reason for all her efforts.

Narcisa has a clothing stand in the Laykakota Market, an important market in the city of Puno. She has regular costumers, who usually buy something to take home every time they visit the stand. She gets the clothing from La Paz, Bolivia. This allows her to provide newer styles than the other merchants in the market. Narcisa enjoys talking with her costumers and letting them know about the new arrivals. She has been working on this business for 15 years. The most difficult part is transporting the goods from La Paz; it is a long and tiresome journey.

She wishes to have a large store selling a wider variety of clothing to better serve her costumers. This is Narcisa’s first loan with MFP, she is very happy for this opportunity and is committed to pay it on time. She is a very responsible member of her communal bank. She will buy more merchandise with the loan to better supply her clothing stand.
