A loan of $800 helped buy beer for her bodega and put in a floor.

Justina's story

Justina is a member of the Virgin of Mercedes Community Bank. She is 39 years old and has three children ages 21, 18 and 7, the youngest of which attends a state school. She is separated from her husband. Justina runs a bodega out of her home. She started out selling beer. She studied computation and that helped her better organize her business. Now everything is in order. Justina is requesting a loan of 2,400 soles for the purchase of beer and to put a floor on her business. Since she has been with Kiva partner Finca, she learned to better develop her business, and learned from the hard-working, united group members. When any member has a problem, the others are there for support. Justina's dream is to hire a worker to help her with her bodega business, so she can relax.
