A loan of $650 helped buy small livestock.

Esperanza's story

Esperanza is a member of the Dios es Amor community bank in the Mazo-Cruz district, Collao province, Puno department. She is 53, lives in a common law marriage, and has 6 children. She lives in the Villa Esperanza neighborhood. She has a primary school education.

She has been working with the Movimiento Manuela Ramos for 8 years. She started with a loan of 300 PEN, which she used to buy small livestock (to sell the meat). Now she needs a new loan of 2,000 PEN to buy small livestock.

Her biggest desire is that her children become professionals.

What she likes best about her community bank are the meetings and the savings.
