Vanna Group's story

In the image, Vanna took this photograph with her group members. She is 49 years old, and she is a married rice farmer who is fattening up animals. She has a dependent child who is attending school.

Vanna is pictured first from the right, and she has been a farmer since 1999. Her husband is 50 years old, and is fattening up animals, as well. All of them live in a rural village in the Kampong Cham Province in Cambodia. Both of them can earn approximately $8 per day.

Vanna is a group leader and would like to request a loan as part of a group of three members. She will use her portion to buy piglets to fatten to earn additional income to improve her living standards. With this loan, she will be able to have enough money to buy piglets to fatten.

In the future, she wants to buy more cows, renovate her house and support her child to earn higher education.
