A loan helped a member to buy piglets and feed.

Finc Group's story

This is a Mazahua community that is known for the fact that to get there, one must walk many kilometers. The people from the place do not mind because they have horses that they use for their transportation.

A large number of the members of the community have horses. They are country people who raise livestock and grow corn. This is the season for preparing the ground to begin to plant the corn.

Anastacia is a very hard-working woman. She is always thinking of her family. She is married to Joel, and they have five children. Among them, only one small daughter still depends on them, since she is in primary school.

Anastacia has been raising pigs for eight years. She began doing this because in the community where she lives, it is very easy to breed and raise these animals. Once they have reached a good size, she sells them to be made into carnitas or chicharrón, typical Mexican dishes.

Anastacia recalls that she began doing this with just five pigs, and now she has had up to twenty at the same time.

She is very grateful for the loan because with the past cycle she was able to by some of the very pigs she is about to sell, and in this way obtain the earnings she needs to be able to continue supporting her husband and their children.

Fortunately she has no trouble selling the animals. Now her only goal is to make her business grow in order to open a grocery store, and that way continue paying for her daughter's studies.

With the loan she will buy more piglets and feed. "Certainly by the next cycle I will be able to open a small grocery store, with the support of VFmexico", Anastacia said, very pleased.

The members of the group Lourdes, Maria Guadalupe, Leticia will invest in sheep, and Eusebio in a taxi.
