A loan of $1,450 helped to buy a milk cow and plowing her fields so as to improve her milk production and sales, generating greater income for her daughter.

Angelica's story

Angélica currently lives in the town of Colque Amaya Baja in Gualberto Villarroel province, La Paz Department. She works in agriculture producing quinoa and potatoes. She inherited part of her parents' land and she has starting working independently there for the past year. She has many more years experience as she worked helping her parents since she was young. She has enough experience to competently administer her business.

She has one dependent, a nine month old daughter. She is a single mother as the father of her daughter left her when she became pregnant and up to present the father has not taken responsibility for the support of the baby. So Angélica works alone to raise her child. She has the moral support of her parents who are also of low economic resources.

She is requesting the loan to buy a milk cow as well as plowing her land to be able to prepare more land for production. She appears to be a responsible and hard-working person. This loan will be of great help as she will be able to buy a milk cow to improve her income with the sale of milk and cheese. In this manner she can get ahead with her young daughter.
