A loan helped to purchase organic manure and potato seeds to improve her production and in this way generate more income for her family.

Celedonia's story

Celedonia, 34 years old, has been partnered for 5 years. The family lives in an urban provincial area of the department of Cochabamba.

She and her partner are a humble family of limited resources, working at agricultural production with income from the seasonal sales of potatoes and green beans, cultivating their own inherited land from their parents with a rotation of crops. In this way, they support themselves economically. She told us that a while ago, she had health problems where they spent the little savings that they had. For this reason, she went to ask for the loan to take advantage of the low prices in the season to purchase organic (chicken) manure and potato seeds. Lastly, the woman and her partner are very happy for accessing this type of loan and having had this opportunity. With this, they plan to have everything ready for the next agricultural season and, so, to improve their income in the future.
