A loan of $5,450 helped a member to purchase a refrigerator to preserve fresh foods.

Crecer Group's story

The entrepreneurial bank 'Crecer' continues to work together. The prior loan was used by the members to purchase raw materials, merchandise, to pay for services and to repair their work spaces. The payment of their installments was timely because they planned ahead and met their goals for production and sales.

Currently, the bank continues to be led by: Maria who continued working on her food sales business (she is seated in the center of the photo). She invested the previous loan in the purchase of kitchen supplies. The payment of her installments was timely and problem-free because everything is going well. Her next goal is to purchase a refrigerator to preserve the perishable foods, such as meat. Currently, she makes small daily purchases of meat that take up her time and cost money for transportation.

"My business grows thanks to the demand of my customers and the help that Kiva provides" she told us. Her business is successful because she cooks with very good seasoning. The advantage of her business is that she makes daily sales and the customers are continuous. The disadvantage is the lack of a refrigerator to preserve the perishable foods. Her dream is to stabilize her business to provide better education to her children. Maria wants to purchase a refrigerator. This is her third sequence of loans with the institution in the four years that she has done this activity. It is due to these motives that Maria is seeking a loan to purchase a refrigerator to preserve fresh foods.
