Chantho's story

Chantho is 34 years old. She is a married woman who has two children. Nowadays, she is living with her husband and her two dependent children at the Tuol Prich Village, Prey Chhor District, Kampong Cham Province, where she operates a farming business, growing rice to sell. She has been a farmer since 2010 and earns approximately USD 5 per day. Her husband is a construction worker and also earn a net profit of about USD 5 per day. The Chantho's family income is not enough for daily expenses. At the same time, she want to buy a cow, but she cannot buy it yet. To help her further develop her farming business, Chantho is borrowing a Kiva loan from HKL to buy a cow to maintain the rice fields. Chantho will continue working in her business in order to boost income for her family and provide them a better quality of life.
