A loan of $200 helped increase inventory.

Alicia's story

Alicia is a very laid back but hardworking woman. She is 57 years old and lives in her family home. What she wants most is to move forward with her business.

Alicia's life has always been very solitary. Since she turned 18 she has been working to support herself on her own and not depend on her parents.

Currently she works in dental equipment sales in La Paz and Cochabamba (Bolivian cities). Her business is very profitable, she has many clients. What she enjoys most is traveling. She has been doing this work for 4 years. What is most difficult is transporting the equipment, which must be done very carefully.

Alicia would one day like to have a store in Bolivia where she could conduct sales more conveniently, given that currently she sells on request only.

This is Alicia's first loan from MFP, and she is very happy to have this opportunity. She is very close to the other members of her communal bank.

With the 600 soles she has requested, she plans to buy more equipment, to increase her inventory.
