Gasilda's story

Mrs. Gasilda is a member of Banco Comunal “Dios es Amor,” en the Mazo-Cruz district, Collao province of Puno. She is 37-years old and is married with two children who have completed secondary school. She lives in the Jose Antonio borough.

She has worked for the Manuela Ramos movement for the last 2-years and her first loan was for S/300.00 nuevos soles which was invested into her grocery store to purchase a stock of rise, sugar and etc…
With this loan of S/1000.00 nuevos soles, she will buy rice, sugar, milk, grits and etc… Mrs. Gasilda tells us that she will need a larger loan to invest in the rearing of trout in her community of Chiliyapi and she believes her business will grow in leaps and bounds.

Her desire is to have a fishery for trout and she is happy with the management of the community bank, especially for the savings she receives through it.
