A loan of $600 helped building materials for a new workshop.

Luzmila's story

Luzmila is 29 years old and lives with her young daughter in her parents' house. She makes many types of clothing, as well as carpets and blankets for furniture. Luzmila has been in business for three years, but it wasn't easy at first; she needed to find a number of clients. Luzmila first worked as a secretary in a company where she could also offer sewing services. These days, she makes clothing and blankets full-time, and she mostly uses a sewing machine. For now, she works from a small area in her parents' home, but she wants to build her own workshop. Luzmila is very happy to be taking a second loan with MFP; this community bank has set a great example of solidarity. With her loan money, Luzmila plans to buy construction materials for her workshop, where she will be able to produce clothing, carpets and blankets more comfortably.
