A loan of $325 helped to buy a cow.

Petronila's story

Petronila is a very happy young woman who is 26 years old. She lives in her father's house, who she wants to give a tranquil old age. What she wants most is to get ahead in life. For Petronila, livestock husbandry is an activity that comes from her family as she learned how to do it from a young age. She currently carries out this work and is very good at doing it. Her livestock is very sought after in the Huancane and Juliaca markets. What she most likes about her work is to graze her animals and to be outside in the fresh air. She has been doing this activity for 15 years and the most difficult part for her is to take her animals to the different markets to sell them. In the future she hopes to increase her number of heads of livestock to improve her income. This is Petronila’s first loan with MFP and she feels happy about the opportunity it provides. In her communal bank she is a much loved member as she always helps in everything required. With the 1000 soles requested she will buy a cow to increase her livestock and for this she is prepared to contribute money from her savings if it is necessary to increase the amount.
