Vida's story

Vida M. is 30 years old. She is divorced and mother of five children. She says with the help of God all her children will be able to attend school. She owns and operates a grocery shop and sells items like sugar, vegetable oil, bottled water, skimmed powdered milk and biscuits and babies products like napkins, feeding bottles etc. in her neighborhood. She lives at Akim Wenchi in the eastern region of Ghana. With her five years business experience Vida has been very supportive to her family. Vida is a single parent and because of that, all the family responsibilities rest on her shoulders.

Fortunately her business is positioned at a strategic location within the town where she lives. With the loan, she wants to purchase more crates of assorted drinks, bags of sugar, cartons of vegetable oil, boxes of biscuits etc. to increase her inventory. She hopes to improve her savings to support her children in school. Vida belongs to a village bank called ‘wonderful Jesus’.
