Truth 2 Group's story

Joana is the leader of 'Truth Group', which is made up of three members. All three members including Joana are engaged in small businesses, but sell different products. Joana is 53 years old, and is the leader of the group. She is a bread baker. Joana has been selling bread for the past 7 years. She uses the proceeds from her business to pay fees for her children’s education and to provide a livelihood for her family.

Joana and the other group members of 'truth' group are requesting a loan of 5500.00 GHS. Of this amount, Joana will personally receive 1,800.00 GHS, which she will use to purchase flour, margarine, sugar, firewood and eggs for the production of bread to boost her business. Joana is person to the right in the picture. She is married and has two children, ages 25, and 20. She hopes that her business will continue to exist, so that she can save enough money to help with the house expenses and also prepare for her old age.
