La Guardia Group's story

This entrepreneurial community bank is in its fifth loan cycle and consists of 10 people who live in Guardia.

Elsa G. is the president of the bank and lives in the May 3rd neighborhood of Guardia on the street before the monument. She is a 57-year-old widow and lives with her daughter-in-law and her children. She makes a living selling food, which she has done for many years and has been the sustenance of her family.

Mery R. Supayaba is the treasurer for the bank. She is only 19 years old and lives in the Aguilera neighborhood of Guardia in a rented home with her small son and his father. She has been making a living selling cosmetics in the same area. She is married to Julio Cesar Kiosala, who works as a carpenter. It is a family that is starting out with little capital, but on the other hand, they say that these loans are a big help to keep working with their small businesses.

Susi A. A. is the secretary for the entire bank. Currently she makes a living promoting beauty products, which she has been doing for some time. She lives in the May 3rd neighborhood in Guardia in her family's home. She is a young woman who is still going to school and has a strong desire to keep moving up. Her goal is to have a career.
